Projects

  • The International Transport Forum’s Media Travel Programme

The International Transport Forum (ITF) is an intergovernmental organization that acts as a global transport policy think tank. Its annual Summit, which is held in May of every year in Leipzig, Germany, is the world’s leading transport policy event. Every year, it brings together transport ministers from 66 member countries with business leaders, top researchers, and key sector representatives for debate and networking. The theme of the 2024 Summit, which will take place from 22 to 24 May, is “Greening Transport: Keeping Focus in Times of Crisis”.

The ITF’s Media Travel Programme (MTP) facilitates the participation of journalists from non-European countries in the annual Summit by covering the costs for a return trip and accommodation during the Summit.

The MTP is in its twelfth year running. We have alumni from a wide range of highly regarded media from all around the globe, including USA Today, NPR, and the Los Angeles Times from the USA, The Globe and Mail and The Toronto Star from Canada, Yomiuri Shimbun from Japan, Folha de S.Paulo and Valor Econômico from Brazil, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, The Times of India, Clarin from Argentina and Milenio TV from Mexico, to name but a few.

Video testimonials by former participants can be found at http://bit.ly2i4Z626 (2015) and http://bit.ly/2i4X0zu (2016).

WNJSC is the ITF’s handling agency for all aspects of the Media Travel Programme.

  • Aktionsbündnis Seelische Gesundheit

The Aktionsbündnis Seelische Gesundheit (German Alliance for Mental Health) is an initiative for the promotion of mental health. Over fifty alliance partners participate in the nation-wide network, including experts from psychiatry, health promotion and self-help groups. Together they campaign for the interests of people with mental illness and their families. The alliance is independent. It was initiated by the German Association for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (DGPPN) and the German anti-stigma society “Open the doors”. It cooperates with the German Federal Ministry of Health and the psychiatry working group of the highest state health authorities.

WNJSC has consulted the German Alliance for Mental Health on its communications and media relations activities.
